Join Amber R. Stern, Ph.D., P.E. and Julius M. Roberts, P.E. as they discuss claims of occupant injury from low-speed vehicle collisions are evaluated using a multidisciplinary approach. This is because before any opinion can be made regarding the occupant injury, the collision must first be quantified. This course will present the process involved in approaching these types of collisions from the perspective of the vehicle and occupant. The course will present examples of pertinent types of data needed, and examples of how they are applied, to maximize the capacity for your consultant/expert to aid in your analysis of the case.

This webinar is brought to you by ESi.

About the Speakers

Dr. Amber Rath Stern specializes in the fields of biomechanical analysis and mechanical engineering. She also has extensive experience in computational modeling, mechanical testing, inquiry and analysis of national motor vehicle injury and vehicle crash databases, and experimental design. Dr. Stern applies her expertise to a wide range of investigative scenarios, including accident reconstruction, slips, trips, and falls, product liability claims, workers’ compensation claims, premises liability claims, injury causation, and motor vehicle injury analysis, including restraints, ejection, and occupant kinematics.

Mr. Julius Roberts specializes in automotive accident investigation and reconstruction of recreational, passenger, and commercial vehicles, including heavy truck and semi-trailer air brake systems, along with vehicle dynamics instrumentation, testing, and analysis. His work has special relevance to analyzing commercial vehicle air brake system components for out-of-service criteria according to industry standards and performance testing of vehicles in order to determine its braking capabilities. Mr. Roberts has expertise in instrumentation, testing and data analysis that he has applied to multiple disciplines and fields including automotive, marine, biomechanics, and mechanical equipment.
